This
mural was commissioned for the interior of a chapel being
converted into a shopping mews. The proprieter of the
chapel requested a reproduction of the existing stained
glass windows elsewhwere in the building.
The obvious image to create in the windows was the
local Carn Brea hill, complete with its own mini castle
and monument for added interest. This style of mural is commonly named 'trompe L'oeil,
which translates as creating an illusion of reality.
The mural was painted using organic, solvent-free
emulsions, that were a dream to work with. They are
produced by 'Ecos' (www.ecospaints.com).
The mural is painted in a chapel / shopping mews situated
in Trelowarren Street, in the centre of Camborne, Cornwall.
